Been Creeping the forums for a while - here is my intro
I live north of Houston, work as an "engineer" for an oilfield service company, studied geology in college, and have a million and one hobbies that are always WAY too expensive.
I will admit, I haven't ALWAYS been a big mustang fan. I loved the original pony cars and high powered muscle of the late 60s early 70s but there is a loooooong period in the mustang history that I was never particularly attracted to. I won't specify time periods since everyone has their own opinions and I don't want to tread on those with different ones than me so I will just leave it there.
I became more interested in the mustang when they first came out with the "retro" look in 2005...I became even more interested when they tweaked it and added the 5.0 boosting it to 412 hp! Now with the introduction of the BOSS and the 200+ mph, 650 hp GT500...I'm spellbound...
Since High school I have been "obsessed" with not just mustangs but the flurry of amazing muscle, sports and supercars on the market. The mechanics of the engines and parts mixed with the beauty and art of the exterior lines is amazing...there is no other way to describe it. Back in those days I owned an 87 Trans Am and yes, it wasn't the greatest car but it was an AWESOME first car and really got me into looking at how mechanics worked...I hope to use my wife's '66 mustang as a project someday soon to not only fix up but to learn more about the overall internal and external workings of the car and how to fix it when it breaks.
Anyway, been heavily creeping the "2015 - next generation" threads for a while now...my plans are to go out and get a brand new 2015 as soon as they are available OR if the design doesn't suit my tastes pick up a clearanced 2014 or used 2013...just have to wait and see!
