...another pony

I had a neighbor who offered me his 2006 V6 Mustang Convertible for 1k. Its screaming yellow and in fair condition. Its an automatic and a very basic Mustang. I couldn't beat the price. Its not completely perfect it has two small dings in it. It needs a radiator because a small leak, a front bumper cover -small crack, and some better wheels which have been neglected stock 16" wheels. Everything else is in great condition since I cleaned it up. I'd post pics but I'm headed to the hospital for knee surgery(4th time this last year). With spring coming up I hope to install dual exhaust, an old California Special front bumper cover(I've had it for years), brakes, new wheels/tires. I'm pretty happy about the deal and my wife likes it even more. I've been home for the last year due to a bad knee injury and this really makes me come outside to do some easy maintenance on this new project. My attitude is better. The only cure for Mustang fever is another Mustang.

welcome to the forum; and hopefully by the summer you will be able to go for a ride with the top down, without wearing a mask!

Poco isn't new to these forums, he's been a member on TMS for over 14 years. Anyhow, just saying lol.

That's true. But I change Mustangs often and have been out of the hobby for a while. I'm trying to find a way out of my slump and boredom. My favorite Mustang was an 2007 Grabber Orange GT I used have. I'm getting up there in years and finding it harder to move around crawling under cars. At least this Mustang I purchased doesn't need a whole of lot and anything I do to it is plug and play wheels/tires, bumper covers, side scoops and exhaust. I use a local shop for more intense repairs and they work on all years Mustang. I'm truly happy to be back in the saddle. ( I also had this 06'GT)

Congrats on the new to you car. Sounds like a good buy and a worthwhile project. Love to see progress as you get it back in shape.

Couple of very nice looking beasts you had before.

Those are Raceline GT's 20x9/20x10's. They used those on a lot of the Elenor replica cars the dealers sold back then.

I have this 97' sitting in the garage. Its hard for me to drive the clutch with my bad knee. I let my nephew drive it when he comes for dinner,he has a 14' 5.0 gt.

Yes, I definitely remember both your Mustangs from back in the day on here. Anyhow, despite being away from the Mustang hobby for awhile, as you obviously had very good reasons. But once you become part of the Mustang community, your always part of it
