2006 Mach1 GT

hellow everyone!
Just picked up a 2006 Mustang last Friday and I wanted to know if anyone knows if Ford did a Mach 1 in this model year or did someone go thru lot,of work to make it into a MachI am going to try and post some pics of it here soon but it is maroon with a black stripes down the hood a real shaker hood scoop and Mach 1 decals along the rocker panels and up along the top of the trunk. Everything I have read says the last production Maxh1 was in 2004? Any ideas if it could be a real or fake?

Thanks!

Welcome, the last Mach was in 04. I was interested in an 06 Mach clone being sold locally a couple of years ago, it even had custom look alike seats.

I wouldnt call anything above a 04 a mach1 clone as they did not make a mach1 in 05+. Cant really clone what was never around for that year, almost as stupid as people putting a cobra r body kit on a 05 and calling it a cobra r clone.

Yeah, good point! It was more of a "tribute."

Gold trim looks weird. Would look better if it was kept two tone not tri tone? how ever you say it. other than that nice car.

Thanks! I freakin love it has great power and handles well. I would be curious what the shaker hood adds for power and torque. Found the setup selling for @750 online and claims torque and hp gains.

Nice ride and minimal gains with the shaker.

My neighbor had a 69 mach 1 black when I was growing up, the car was Baddass! Could hear it coming down the street. Fell in love with Mustangs way back then..now I have my own :-)

Car looks great and welcome!

...am I missing something though? I didn't think Ford made another Mach 1 since 2004? If they did, I bet that's how they'd look though!

Nice cars! They may be mock Mach 1s but they look "right" to me and I'd be proud to own either one.

The S197 (2005+) never came as a Mach 1 -nice car but it is something that someone else built as a tribute. A friend of mine did the same thing to his 2005.

This was my 06 Mach1. Sold it a few years ago to buy a 2012 Boss 302. Still wish I had the car.
