60% (Dixie). A definitive Southern score!

On a side note: I owned #17 "rolling = Strongly used in deep South"

46% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category

I guess that's what you get for living in a border state. I guess it's right, I do side a bit more on the Yankee side. I do however think it's INCREDIBLY cute when a girl has a Southern accent. Or I guess a British accent (I know jgsmuzzy, I'm the one with the accent) or an Irish accent or heck any accent where I can still understand what they're saying.

Wait a minute... ...I got 60% (Dixie) too and it said "Barely into the Dixie category." Now I was born and raised in TX...and I can tell you that I have NEVER heard the term "rolling" "TPing" is the most often spoken term here. The only other term for it is "toilet papering" and thats rarely spoken.

How am I barely and youre definitive? We got the same score. I'm not mad... ...Im just confused.

73% (Dixie). I wonder if it takes into account that I'm a HUGE Yankee fan?

I never knew this and found it interseting " 'feeder' - Local use in Houston and eastern Great Lakes"

I'm from Houston and thought it was common. Now I'm wondering if people in other parts of Texas use this term or if it's just a Houston thing?

Oh and BTW, I always used the term "wrapping" for "toilet papering" ( that sounds funny) someones house but wasn't an option. :notnice:

Ours is truly a mixed marriage. I am an Alabama girl married to a New York Yankee. Up North they DO NOT HAVE SWEET TEA!!!! Thats a total sin!
Ok:

how many of you yanks have ever eaten the following:

Cracklin Cornbread
Grits swimming in butter
Collard or Turnip Greens
Raw Turnips fresh out of the garden
Fried Green Tomatoes
Chitlins
Pork Rinds
Biscuits and gravy- the flour and bacon grease gravy...
BBQ sandwiches with extra pickles
Fried Weenies and Kraut
Ew! Nasty sweet tea has more sugar than tea. I drink mine either plain or with some flavoured syrup in it.

Cracklin Cornbread - Love it
Grits swimming in butter - OK
Collard or Turnip Greens - Yuck
Raw Turnips fresh out of the garden - A few times
Fried Green Tomatoes - Haven't tried them
Chitlins - A few times
Pork Rinds - Dang tasty
Biscuits and gravy- the flour and bacon grease gravy... - Good stuff
BBQ sandwiches with extra pickles - Had three of these yesterday
Fried Weenies and Kraut - No Kraut

49% Yankee
Makes sense for me--Dad was from southern Virginia and Mom from coal mining area of PA.

I was raised on beans & dumplings and pork & sour kraut.

86% (Dixie) Did you have any Confederate ancestors?

My mom was a Yankee that finally ended up in Mississippi; met my dad from Texas while he was stationed there. They moved back to Texas which is like no place else. Picked up a lot from my summers in Miss. though.
