alright, theres this summer mechanical engineering program at University of Michigan. and guess who got accepted!!

how far is the University from detroit? better yet, from Ford HQ? :P

i cant wait.

im going to the Car Capital of the country!!!! home of the stang! and every other great Ford!

i applied a few months ago and i've been wating forever to get an answer. they just emailed me 2day!

jump starting my automotive career hehehe.

and isnt dearborn a plant? not the actual HQ of FoMoCo. hmm, what do you think would happen if i moved FoMoCo to RWC?

 

Right on ! when is it that you are going ? I thought that Detroit was the big Ford or so from all the signage in Beverly Hill Cop ? I'm Canadian and the furtest I have only bin is about 280 feet under the ocean and there is nothing but peace there ! Congrats on your acceptance Arin Nat and I wish you all the best.

 

i kno detriot is the big hub, but at least im in the right state lol. ed, thanx to you and Nat (nate?) im so excited. its over summer vacation for like two weeks. so its not for a while.this is the clsest to actually being in college ill come to until i actually go. ill be livin in the dorms, wandering the campus etc. plus i get to meet all the professors n stuff n decide if i likes the school. and if a apply there later, ill have a better cahnce of getting in, cuz ill have this on my resume. man this is gonna be awesome!

Congrats Arin. You'll have a 40 minute drive to Dearborn from Ann Arbor, or about an hour to Detroit. I highly recommend the Rouge plant tour as well as a visit to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.

tony- i wish i had time to go to the tour, but the entire two weeks ill be taking classes. oh well, itll be nice to know im only 40-60 min away from some of the greatest places in the USA.

Lambeau Field? ummm, the only shirt i have with green on it is a niner shirt that shows a game where the niners beat the packers in the playoffs (the Catch II :P )

MAJOR CoNGRATS ! You must go to Ford Museum! I went to the 2004 Detriot Auto Show, Me and Dad were almost the first people in line! I ran straight for the Ford Display! I was one of the first people to see the New Mustang GT and Cobra Concept! My Avatar is a picture I took at the Show! OOH I couldn't help my self and I TOUCHED the Titanum Silver Mustang at the show despite the do not touch signs! Hey have a camera ready at all times, I saw a couple CAMOUFLAGED concept cars driving on the ROADS! DETRIOT ROCKS!

i really hope i can. but i have no idea how. ill have classes every day of the two weeks i think and i will have no car! i suppose a taxi would be nice, but me? in detroit? alone? i'd get lost so fast!
