Its a theoretical thing. If it were built it would take decades to complete and cost something like 12 trillion dollars.

I have pictures of Elbert Merkinstein standing in the mouth of it in New Jersey that I took.

He started walking it last summer. He should be close to Ireland by now.

Oh sorry I was thinking of something else. So this is really complete? When will it be opened to the public?

Here's a picture of it under construction circa 2001. Web page said this picture was taken 550 miles south east of Iceland.

Anyone else think it would be kinda freaking being underwater like that. However we have adapted to flying which is probally more dangerous, still.

Pressures at that depth would be immense...

You've also got the tectonic plates to deal with... I don't know if there's much activity between the North American plate and the Eur-Asian plate but I wouldn't be that confident of the long term durability of this project if those plates are shifting...

Guys, this is the most elaborately constructed bogus site I have ever seen. Wonder why you've never heard of this before? It doesn't exist!

Just for #@*^s and giggles I enterd my name in the competition for free tickets on the maiden run in 2009 and was rewarded with an April Fool message.

James, you have outdone yourself with this one. Good on you, mate!

What!? Where's Elbert?

Tell you the truth, I'm worried for him now.

He's gonna be pretty upset when he fins out he's been walking in circles for 4 months under New Jersey.

On a side note, I've decided to quit posting in Off-Topic because I don't get credit for posts here.

You'll only see me in the SN-95 section now. :P
