My wife is going thru a winter snow storm in Nevada right now. It began snowing hard early lastnight and is still snowing. So far she has recieved around 6 inches of snow, and has gotten into one car accident when someone rearended our truck, and almost slid off the road twice with the same truck. So you guys be careful about this storm. Oh also we live in the valley just east of Reno, Nevada and it was worse in the higher altitudes.

Ooh, can I play?

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am CST
Wednesday...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am CST
Wednesday.

* Snow will continue to increase in coverage and intensity this
morning. Moderate to heavy snowfall is expected through the day
and into the evening. The snow will end tonight.

* Widespread snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are anticipated.
Snow amounts may exceed 12 inches across north central Kansas

and in locations south of a line from Geneva to Franklin in
south central Nebraska.

* North winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph by late afternoon and
gust near 40 mph.
The winds will remain strong tonight and Wednesday
morning... causing widespread blowing and drifting snow... and
reduced visibilities. Dangerous wind chill readings of 15 to 25
degrees below zero
are expected tonight and early Wednesday
morning.

* Conditions will deteriorate through the day and will become
hazardous with the increase in winds this afternoon and evening.
Near white out conditions may occur and travel is not
recommended.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and blowing snow means
severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring.
Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel
dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel... keep
an extra flashlight... food... and water in your vehicle in case
of an emergency.
I hate winter weather. Especially when it's still fall.

I hear ya and that is why we live in Arizona for the most part a few months of heat but the rest is pure heaven. Last night heavy rain and wind gusts up to 50mph and blew my Santa off the roof and into the pool!! Today blue sky and 58. I miss the first snow but its only a short drive up the hill..
