Winners and losers
Winners: The criminals.
Loser: I nominate the Olympic Committee and their 2016 Olympics' dynamic site, for choosing one of the highest crime riddled cities in the world.

Good luck, tourists!

for a second I'd thought you were under the assumption that chicago won it, haha
I'm sure gov. payouts to the gangs will keep them somewhat tolerable during the olympics

I won't be going to Rio in 2016. That was my biggest concern about this bid. I like my kidneys where they are, thank you very much. I'm sad to see Chicago was not only eliminated, but done so in the first round.

So it's settled. Extorsion will buy safety and kidneys will be donated.

It was an inevitable choice. As soon as I heard there was pressure to give it to Rio due to there never having been an Olympics in South America, I knew they'd be getting it. There's this idea of 'touching all the continents.'
All that's left now for the Summer Games is Africa and Antarctica. Winter has a lot more to go, Oceana, Africa, and South America... and of course, Antarctica... but I'd wonder how they'd manage to do that in those countries... Chile and a couple of NZ places might be able to pull it off... African winter games would probably not be possible, I'm bettin'...
But then... who knows?
