My sister had this last year...it took her a long time to really recover from it...

The biggest problem was, the doctors that she went to see for it kept misdiagnosing it, so it might be more prevelant that people realize.

hmm, good point. My mother works at a hospital and comes in contact with many medical charts...you'd be amazed at the diseases that are still floating around that are 'changed' by doctors so word doesn't get out..

If your dad had the flu proper, he wouldn't be able to work 2 hours, let alone 70. Flu kills people, bad colds do not..........

As for germ warfare, I think not, but even over here, we have had some wierd illnesses this past winter.

IDK, if it counts for anything he was constantly coughing, lost his voice, and in between customers was running to the bathroom to throw up, maybe just a bad cold?? Hes the manager of a Rite Aid drug store BTW

do you guys not get immunised from mumps when you are kids? I had mumps when I was 8, 2 years before they brought in mandatory vaccinations for all children. I think there are about 5 cases a year now

MMR Vaccine right?
Measles Mumps and Rubella....
My kids got those vaccines.

NOW you have to have a MANDATORY Chicken Pox vaccine before you enter kidnergarten if you can't prove your kids had it. Fortunately my boy got them when he was 3.
