I was pondering as my lunatic neighbors put their tree up last weekend-
When does everyone stick the tree up?
We usually put ours up the weekend after Thanksgiving and down it Comes Christmas Night(because thats 27 days till my Bday).

Crap!
I have a seven foot fake tree. Its prelit so I drug it out last night to see if it worked! So I put it up...
It looks like a 3 footer in my dining room with the ceilings! Crap!

Mines up and I am already like- IS FREAKING CHRISTMAS OVER ALREADY?
Grr..
Gimme presents on my birthday..
Otherwise dole em out as wanted(IE I want new shoes and a new purse I think I will go buy them today) (Brian wants a new guitar, lets go get it, screw waiting for Christmas)

Usually have it up by the 2nd week of December. Not sure when it'll happen this year since I'm divorced now and she gets the kids for Christmas this year.

Presents under it too.
Somehow our budget didn't work out right. I am still headscratching on wtf happened. I must not have averaged in Starbucks(A must when Christmas shopping) and Sales Tax.
Holy crap and I even made it to the mall.
NOW how do I keep the
Cat out of my tree? It seems to think its her own personal jungle gym.

My tree is a work of art. I alone assemble and decorate it.
My kids have informed me there is no Santa Claus...
And they want high dollar stuff like Nintendo Ds' and Chuck Taylors.

They do have "discussions" about who gets to sleep under it.

Anytime after Thanksgiving is ok with me... just not before thanksgiving. My family is usually first week in December though and we take it down New Years Day.

I have already thought of that. Mine climb my house plants already. I can just imagine putting a tree up. They will think its there just for them. I might skip the tree part this year. Kevin said we could put up an upside down one, but I can just see the cats at the bottom of the tree at the top!!
