What's your favorite Car Flick?

I'll give you five oldies:
Vanishing Point
Grand Prix-even had real GP drivers in it
Le Mans- who couldn't like a movie with Steve McQueen in it?
Bullitt-ditto the above, but the car chase is really the only reason to watch it
And my favorite-A Man and a Woman. Yes, it's a love story, but the character played by the leading man is a driver for Ford France. In the movie he drives a Mustang vert as his daily driver and the opening scene is great. He also tests a GT-40 and drives a Mustang coupe in the Monte Carlo rally. Great winter driving shots. This is a car movie you can watch with your wife/girlfriend and both of you will enjoy it unless you're an incurable macho hunk. JK

The Lively Set (Only because it is the only film appearance of the incredible Chrysler Turbine Car!), The French Connection, Bullitt and Vanishing Point.
None of the F&F "films" deserve mention. (A real car film needs to have shots that last more than 3 seconds)

I have several that I like: The list below is in no particular order:
Bullitt: Steve did most of his own driving, plus I WANT THAT CAR!!!
Ronin: The best flat out chase scene I have ever saw.
Original Italian Job: Haden't seen it until recently, and I loved it. Very funny. Plus they crash a prefectly good Lamborghini Miura in the beginning scene
That Miura driving around in the mountains, through the tunnels, WHAT A SOUND!!!
New Italian Job: Excellent remake of a old movie, plus Charlize Theron is so hot looking in that movie.
I
her, she is my favorite actress. Plus she drives an original Mini in the movie too.
Both Gone in 60 seconds: The original because how many cool cars he stole (the Lambo Miura is just amazing) and all the cars that were crashed. The new one, all exotics, too cool.
LeMans: Again, Steve did alot of his own driving
LeMans: Very well done using real drivers (as said above) A new 2 disc special edition comes out July 11th.
Thats my list, and I'm sticking to it.

What about the Ron Howard classic "Eat My Dust"?
Far from the best but worth a view.
Another is the 70's Canadian classic "Fast Company" with William Smith, John Saxon and Playmate Claudia Jennings it was filmed using out old no longer in existance Edmonton Speedway and parts were filmed in Calgary (disguised as Montana) Pretty cool flick.

I was very cool when they had the top fuel funny car do a quick blast down a local street. I was there the night they filmed it!
