Well,I wanted to know the fastest everyone has gone in their 2005-2006 mustang gt.Has anyone with no speed limiter gone 160+ in their gt?

 

Not exactly sure, but probably just over 100, the hood shake is just a little distracting at that kind of speed. I'm addicted to the acceleration, not the top speed.

 

I have hit 130 in my stage 1 Roush. No drama. I went 150 in my 68 GTO, big drama.

 

Anybody hear about Vortech slapping a supercharger on a GT and running 198mph? It was in an ad they ran in 5.0 Mag awhile back...kewl!

 

at the 100 your hood shakes??

i drove up to 160km (100miles) alot of times never notice the vibrations of the hood

I drove up to 230km once (143miles) (+-) 5kms i wasn't watching the speedometer, i was watching the road...........

 

Do you know the real top speed of the 2005 mustang gt? With no speed limiter?

 

Removed the speed limiter from my red 05 GT with a Diablo and she went right to the 140 mark. She felt like she was accelerating just a bit more, but i got skiddish and let off it. Do not like running that kind of speed for more than a few minutes. Ran 110 - 120 mph many times in her on the highway. Interesting that before the Diablo, she would hesitate going faster upon reaching 130. The Ford Spec says the maximum upshift speed is 127 mph.

The grey Roush seen 130 mph the first nite i had her. There was 140 miles on. Ran her at gradual varying speeds ranging from 80 to 130 mph that night.

My estimate at top speed would therefore be in the range of 140 - 150.

 

So far 102.35 on the 1/4 mile track at Englishtown Raceway and the speed limit every other time.

 

I've ran it up to 120mph so far and that's it.

 

I wonder if the mustang gt can go 160mph....

 

I think theyre limited to about 140 something. The Vortech car got up to 190 something though.

 

I think they're limited to 149.Also,I have heard about v6's with no governor going 130mph!!!

 

I thouht the GT was limited to 143mph...

 

We will just have to find out ourselves... Won't we...

I was over 120 and I was at 110 for over 1/2 hr. NO hood shake .Very stable and when I dropped down to 65 when nearing a town my wife actually thought I was going 20, no chit...

 

Earlier in the day: Big Chief, no chit.
Later on the day: Big CHIT, no chief.

 

no not according to a calibrated radar gun I seen no chit

 

ya whats up with the hood shake its actully kinda scary.. has anyone had this issure resolved?

 

The only time I have ever have hood shake is at 70+ passing Semi-trucks going the opposite direction.
I have hit 110+ with no hood shake whatsoever.
