Seems like the Aints weren't really good till that year. That was when they picked up Brees and drafted Bush and still had McAllister which was there best player in years before. Mike Ditka kind of screwed the team a few years before when he brokered two drafts all in Ricky Williams like a moron. Kind of left them no talent for a while. But they were smart and hired Peyton from Dallas and the rest is history.
