So its your mom's cousin's kid? That'd be 3rd cousin.

 

Your cousin's cousin could be (1) you or your sibling, or (2) your cousin as well. It's not that complicated! Now your MOM'S cousin, on the other hand -- that's a different story.

 

Haha, well, I've recently found out that I'm "related" to several people I've known for awhile.

I just found out today that I'm "related" to someone I've known for a while, who is my cousin's cousin's cousin's cousin's cousin.

 

You left out the moms cousin thing earlier. Which changes it all.... so give us the exact breakdown of how you are related.

I think after 3 or 4 it becomes just distant.
