This better be a good story, Kera :P

Like that time my friend said he could go for a big chunk of French Frie and my other buddy said, "You mean a potato?"

Good times...

half past 7:30 is 8:00. "Half past" stands for half an hour past [insert time here]. and half an hour is :30. 7:45 would be a quarter after, a quarter of an hour is :15.

It makes sense...but I've never heard anyone say, "Hey, it's half past 7:30!" Maybe I'm thinking too much about this...argh! My brain is hurting!

When will then be now?!

i've heard it before... "I'll call you half past 8:00/ 9:00/1:00"
It;s always with an hour without minutes, i've never heard it with and hour and minutes before, it seems weird. Why wouldnt they just say 8:00??? unless they didnt know any better or I'm wrong! ::gasp::

Ok, guys. Here is the story. It's not really funny, just alittle stupid. And keep in mind that I wasn't there. Anyway.

Myfriend Heather, her sister Holly asked her what time it was. Heather said "It's half past 7:30" Heather meant it as 8:00. But her brother Jeremy & his wife Kristian was there & Jeremy said that "half past 7:30" would be 7:45.

Anyway. So the all started a poll, Kristian, Holly, & Heather all said 8 & Jeremy said 7:45. So, since they all can't agree they started calling everyone they knew & asking them. I was one of those who got called.

Anyway, joking, I told Heather I was going to start a poll. Well, I remembered there was a general chat here so I decided to actually start a poll. Just to see what others would say.

BTW you guys just have to know Heather, it defiently sounds like something she would say. In fact April kinda reminds me of Heather. Except Heather is 22 with no kids, husband, or mustang .

So anyway. That's basically the story. Sorry it took soo long to tell it.
