I work at Michaels as a certified custom framer. My actual trade is in the graphic design and cartooning field... but didn't like it for a living. I'd like to get another degree, this time in art education so I can become a grade school art teacher.

I am a Quality Control Manager at a chemical factory. I still get to "play" in the lab once in a while, and no I am not a "Mad Scientist". Just a little cranky once in a while when things don't work out right. I am married to an accountant so I know how funny those CPAs can be.

Paperwork is my life. Gotta love it. BUT the perks are incredible- my morning commute is down a flight of steps and I only work two full days and 2 hours a day the other 3. That gives me the freedom without bosses I crave.

Actually, I think its about beer thirty right now- my work is done.

I'm retired from the US Coast Guard (Law Enforcement/Intel assignments) now a struggling CAR-toonist , volunteer art instructor at our local grade school, and house-dad for my 2 son (7 & 12).

I'm also married to an audit partner in a big four CPA firm, so I've been forced to understand that "funny" auditing world, too.

I am beginning to see a horrible Accountant / Mustang pattern emerging here

Product Engineer for low voltage power distribution sections; powerpanels and switchboards.

Your house runs on 200amps. Take that breaker box, enlarge so its roughly 8 feet high and pumps 800-5000amps through it...I design that. Used in hospitals, schools, mini-malls, manufacturing plants, etc...etc...

I'm a server at one of the busiest Outback Steakhouses in the country.

I'm also starting my 4th year of college, majoring in Radiology.

All I am going to say is that I work at a fortune 500 company that is exactly like Innitech from Office Space. Yes, we even have TPS reports! I have 4 supervisors, 5 quality control analysts, and 2 managers bothering me every single day. That being said, I spend at least 4 hours of work time surfing the internet a day.

I have 5 more classes to get my degree in elem education. Thank the Lord!

Electrical Engineer for a semiconductor company.

I'm in the automotive division. That being said, the most exciting thing I get to see it the next generation coil-on-plug system for BMW...whoopee.

Well, anything that'll pay me well, pretty much!

And, in a basic nutshell, it's working with x-rays, etc.

Here is the fun part!

I have my own business. I do work for my husbands company on contract.
I do AR, and the woman in Orlando does AP. If someone is being a deadbeat, I can cut them off, and we won't do more work till they pay up. Why accept work if they aren't going to pay you right?
Yesterday we had Thunderstorms- that means Telephone systems without UPS backup are good to go south due to lightning. One of my deadbeats called in for work, and I turned it down- Guess who is STILL angry with me?
