What is the 80's??

I am going on a walk to raise awareness for aids this Sunday, an the group I'm going with are all dressing "80's", so my question is: what did people wear in the 80's?!

The only requirement we have is to have a black shirt... I was thinking that, jean cut offs, colorful bandanna on my forehead.

Heavily stonewashed or acidwashed jeans, maybe with a few rips in them, or parachute pants if you can find some. Roll up the sleeves on your short sleeve t-shirt. Wear hi-top basketball shoes with the laces untied.

80's is easy. Walk into a second hand store blindfolded, grab some misc stuff, put it all together and it should clash real nice. Bonus points for:
a really bright coat to wear over the black shirt:

shutter shades:

Acid wash jeans;

Pretty much anything from Saved by the Bell would work:

OOPS! I mean:

Even better, don't forget to accessorize with an old Pager or a Zach Morris phone.
Oh, and DON'T FORGET TO PEG YOUR PANTS!

Acid wash jeans for sure

Loud Suspenders

High tops

Maybe a polo shirt with a popped collar

I used to rock some really cool Vuarnet sunglasses with the rope holder back in the 80s
Plastic frames with mirror lenses

Also a Swatch watch is a must

Can i point out out that saved by the bell was very early 90's? I suggest finding a VW camper, robbing the badge on the front and wearing with a chain?

Tbh, if you want an 80's look, look no further than your average Camaro driver.....

Saved by the bell started late 89 I think, but the fashion was still pretty 80's on that show... not that the early 90's were much better.
