Well, walked away from house and GT
I wanted to extend a warm thank you and means this as a tear comes to my eye to the extended family I have been a part of on TMS. I had a rough year last year, out of work for 8 months and worked as a contractor and made good money. I lost my job again this year to a company out of Boston. I had filed papers to work out a mortgage with my loan company and they chose to foreclose on my house which was new in 2003. I am walking away and mailing them the keys on Thanksgiving, per my attorney. The Mustang at this point is not worth the money I spend if I need to save to get another house next year, there will be plenty I am sure.
I stripped the car this past weekend and you know what, I cried all night last night as we swapped parts over to a 2008 GT and guy I met in the parking lot at Target of all places. He is giving me good money for the color matched parts so the local new owner will get a stocker when I walk in with keys in December. I know things could be worse, I have no family personally and my family here in town are 100% behind me for what I have put myself thru the past 18 months. I am a fighter, not a quitter but you know there is only 24 hours in a day and I was working 16-18 and not being able to live and have a life. I love the house, but not going to kill myself and not be able to enjoy my investment. I thank you, everyone of you and I will indeed remain here if wanted and will consider a 2010 next Fall or Spring. I still have the truck and the other woman, 1990 Notchback so 06LNOR will be laid to rest in December when I had over the keys to the new owner.
I have never been so down in all my life, I just turned 35 and I won't go down as a quitter, but will prevail the winner once I get back on my feet. Just had to share, needed to let out some emotions.

don't you dare give up!!!!! All those things can be replaced when your back on your feet again.. Be strong and get back in the fight! Ironically, we are about to purchase a new house.. Its a great position to be in right now. The contractors will do anything to sell a house

More and more of this happening. But sacrificing the luxuries and focusing on your future is the mark of someone with good character and who will always end up more successful. Good luck to you sir.

Hang in there. I'm sure things will turn around for you. I know I have had to sell some of my prize possessions over the years while inbetween jobs. Seems as though the next time around the toys get nicer and nicer.

The best thing you have your head straight, material objects can be replaced it's people that can't, given some time and TLC you'll be back up where you like it to be, I've been there and often think how easy it would be to do it again. I do wish you all the best. Ed

Can't say anything they haven't, it hurts to see more and more of these threads go up but at least you have your priorities straight.

I am floored, have never met any of you before me here and I know this is what we all know as extended family and I thank you, I thank you. I seen a GT 500 tonight and thought, ya know next year I could consider finding one of those. Who knows, all I know is this world is getting scary and I knew I could not live this way any longer. God Bless and Good Day. I will keep everyone in the loop, thanks
