I spent a Whole Day of My Vacation Shreading Old Medical Bills and Canceled Checks at the House. My Shreader was Working Double overtime and Starting to make some Noise. So I figured I would Lube it Up with a Spray of White Grease. Well the Can Was Dry! Then I Found a Can of Graphite Spray it was Full but Had no Spray. Well I start to get Impatient and Found Some WD-40 Which Had Just a Bit Left in it. I take it in the House and Get Just one Small Squirt out of it. At this Point I say the Heck with it and Start to Shread again. The Minute I hit the Switch KA-BOOOOM! The Top of the Shreader Lifts a Foot off the basket and Throws out a 3ft Circle Mushroom Cloud! The Top Slammed back Down on the Basket and the Flame went out Instantly. The Spark From the Motor or Switch Set off the Flammable WD-40 Gas. Thank Goodness I only Got a small Squirt out of that WD-40 Can. Had I got a Good Spray Lord Knows What would Have Happened! Just goes to Show how things can Happen when you are Tired and Not Thinking Straight. BTW The Shreader is none the worse for the wear and I now Use the Oil Pack Sheets you Run Through! More Thrilling Than a High Speed Pass in the 500! LOL!

Good Thing It Was Not Tricloelthelene 111 Used To Be Ued A Lot In Air Mech Parts And Cleaning Agents Untill Banned , That It Volitile. I Hate Caps Locks,

 

When I tested the Machine Afterwards I hooked Up an Extension Cord And Set it outside and Then Plugged it in from inside the house. Now Don't Get any Idea's!

That Reminds me of One of My parts Guys Cleaning his Keyboard with Carb Spray! DOH! Cleaned it good! Looked Great going into the Dumpster!

Dude ,they sell shedder lubricant at the office supply store, its vegetable oil based.

Or you can use Pam Spray.
