Like friends of mine who no longer have their rental home business on Fort Morgan. Or for the matter the homes they lived in. I feel tremendously bad for them. Who DOESN"T realize what happened there? And Pensacola and PC beach... Especially Thomas Drive and us 98 and that poor truck driver on 10 I am sick thinking about. You can spend all day dwelling on that horrible stuff. It's not like I haven't either. :bang: We lost about 4 trees and one car neighborhood wide That
is it, didn't even get bad here. And I am not going to pretend I enjoy peanut butter, because I don't- I like to cook. Thats the MAIN reason I want my power on, a need not to starve.
And if it makes you feel better, I am in the land of have nots again and all I have to show for it is a hangover.

NO the blasted Alero was locked in the garage. The bronco didn't get it either and it lives outside due to its size.
Alabama power I no longer dislike, the power guys went door to door in their trucks this morning and told us they were on the way to fix us.
Now everyone who had power yesterday is powerless for two weeks. Alabaster must be in a valley, because north is damaged.

Now Tonight I settle in with the best pizza I ever ate and watch Third watch and TiVO Grounded for life.
Best thing of all, I am clean, I smell good, and I have makeup and my hair is not tied in a knot anymore. No more peanut butter EVERRRRRRRR.

 

talkin' 'bout peanut butter, they started to ban PB sandwiches in some schools here in California. new studies came out saying that PB is one of the unhealtiest foods. theyre trying to tell people that PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED OILS are very bad. PB has FULLY HYDROGENATED OILS, even worse :shock:

 

Eww I wouldn't pay for that stuff. Our kids get real meals. But then since my kids are soooooo picky, I pack lunches.
Living off it aint the way to go. I want shrimp fried rice and eggrolls and pepper steak and extravaganzza pizzas. I plan to eat all that and more before the weekends over.
AND I AM OFF TO GET THE SIMS2! If I am MIA I am deep in sim world as soon as this freaking report gets completed.

Ok,
I gotta gripe a little bit-

First off, my parents have no power, and will have none for the forseeable future, they have to drive an hour here to get a shower, drive 25 miles each way for ice and an hour to eat each meal. True, the place they live is a lovely armpit, but still, they have no power. I tell them, move back, but they won't do it. This is day FIVE with no lights. If they can turn my power on in 25 hours, they should be able to get theirs on too. Not everyone down in that hole can afford to eat out and drive for showers. Suffering ain't cool.
Second, Friends of ours lost a bunch down there in Gulf Shores, and CNN and every other news site is more concerned about the THIRD HURRICANE TO HIT FLORIDA in a month. Hello? Alabama? Those houses they have down there are(were) beautiful).Not that I argue Pensacola isn't devastated, but still. :scratch:
