Because the glass would cause too much heat intrusion in the refrigerator, making it less efficient. The oven is a temporary issue, the refrigerator is supposed to be cold all the time. It's bad enough the refrigerator has a door at all, sheesh.

IN regards to water and the three states... Technically just about any matter can have all four states, it highly depends on pressure and temperature. The interesting bit about the water is that it happens to be 'happy' to be in three different states at the relative pressure and temperature of the earth's atmosphere, depending on where in the world you are, of course.
But any matter can do this... it just has to be the right conditions, and lots do want to go from one to another state, but skip one, or are highly resistant to another... but they can be achieved at some point. Rock, for example, can be done this way, and on this Earth... it's call lava, and at higher temperatures, breaks down into various gases and even plasma... all trapped in the mantle and outer core.
---
Which brings me to this: The *universe* is amazing... it's big, and there's so much that's empty... but not.
Which brings THIS thought... I'd still like to know how the "edge" of the universe can be a uniform 13 Billion light years away from us... it doesn't make much sense when you think about it. I thought we discarded, for the most part, the idea of the Earth as the center of the universe.... But now, I guess, it's the solar system, or maybe the Milky Way?
Perhaps I missed something...

Tortillas amaze me because it some how makes everything better. You can fill it with other foods and have one for each meal of the day. Even the ones they sell at gas stations filed with meat and beans are amazing.

I'm not amazed. I've grown to expect things like that. People who deserve the help have to jump through hoops and still can't get it, but the low lifes get everything handed to them without effort.
