Such BS
I can't believe it! What such BS! The best mustang ever, the Boss, or the Parnelli? WTF!? Doesn't anybody know what a Terminator Cobra is?????? Or why it's called that way!? The Boss 302 beating the svt cobra terminator... NEVER! I'll be back, and this time, with evidence from youtube.

If your're just talking raw numbers, then probably a GT500 or variant thereof. But the question could have a more metaphysical aspect in what Mustang had the greatest emotional/cultural/personal/iconic impact, which may be very different than which one was the best performer.
Taken that way, I might say either the original 289 HiPo GT Fastback as the very definition of the Pony Car genre or perhaps the Boss 302 as the epitome of that genre and being just a great iconic car.
A lot of the faster (in a straight line) Stangs such as all the big block models (390, 428, 429, 5.4l) veered too far from the Pony car idiom into the more uni-dimensional muscle car realm. Great fast cars to be sure, but losing something unique in the process, becoming heavy and ponderous for narrow off-the-line acceleration and losing the sense of balance that I feel is inherent in a Pony Car.

Speaking of pumpkin - do any of the coffee drinkers here like the Pumpkin Spice flavored coffee creamer? Man, that stuff's F'n yummy. I think it's only available this time of year.

BTW - the other stupid Termi vs anything thread has already been locked w/ numerous examples of the Termi being beaten on both the strip and streets. Nothing against the Termi, they're pretty **** sweet and I'd proudly own one, but this thread was going downhill before it even started. IBTL.

Exactly. Terminators are badass but.......There are not many good ways this thread would end up either. Time to close it down.
