Well, for everyone who might be interested...SpaceShipOne will be taking off for another trip to space on Sept 29 in an effort to win the Ansari X-Prize. The SS1 team must make another flight to space within two weeks in order to win the $10 million prize. Another team, the da Vinci Project is planning to unveal their craft on Aug 5, named Wild Fire. The owner and founder of the company, Scaled, that built SS1 has said he might place three flights within the two weeks...

If I get the Mustang on the 30th, I'll be driving out to Mojave Spaceport (yeah, its called that now ) to get in on the history

The race is on now that the Da Vinci Project has announced that they will launch on Oct. 2nd in order to grab the X-Prize. Whichever group makes the second flight first will take the $10 Million purse...

And by the way, they're Canadian

Richard Branson, founder of Virgin, was at the first flight to space by SS1. He has said he would like to start Virgin Spacelines, but it is at least a decade or two away in terms of sustainability, if history is any lesson...
