I've about had it with my Grand Prix. Ever since I bought it it's been nothing but trouble. It was rough for the first month I had it and now a year has past and it's acting up again. So humor me please I'm about to push my car off a cliff...

the first week I ever got the car the motor blew cause the idiots that changed my oil messed something up and it overheated my motor. Luckily it got rebuilt with no cost. Then a bunch of sensors went out on it and they had to get placed. I got a cracked windshield, but thats how I bought it. Now going home from Peoria today my driver side window decides its gonna knock off track and slide down. Its 47 Degrees here so I had to drive with the heat blaring. I want rid of that car so badly. Too bad i'm jobless otherwise I would sell it and go get a Mustang GT.

Holy snot, you wanna trade cars that look good but are reeeeeal bad stories? I am the freaging queen!

I have a 99 alero(which BTW is the same car as yours with a different skin- GM N class)- which until the second I saw that new mustang, I loved. I treated it like GOLD. Washed it weekly, kept it spotless and hit the texaco every 3,000 miles.
One fine evening I was off for a night at Logans with the husband. I pull out of the mall and it starts acting a fool. Get out of the Logans- it wont start. Get jumped off it wont go. IT FRIGGING DIES IN A MALL PARKING LOT! Alternator. Tuscaloosa Al cops rescued us. Cool. Fixed- FIRST $150.

One fine day the check coolant light came on.....

I thought I was imagining stuff so I poured in some stop leak and well......ignored it. Until we were out for dinner again one night- AND IT WOULDNT COOL DOWN! I was 80 miles from home! Well, turns out the "coolant light" meant my intake valve gasket was eaten away by the orange stuff. It took out the water pump, serpentine belt, gasket- which by the way you have to lift the top of the engine off to get to, thermostat too! SECOND $400(my mechanic treats me well as that's a $2,000+ job)

One fine night I am off to the movies- SOMETHING POPS! WHOOPSIE! Its the WHEEL BEARINGS! $150 more...........

One fine day I am off to old navy and I hear a snap! UH OH! Its the FRONT AXLE! $100 more.........

Some lovely evening I am off to the mechanic and the light comes on AGAIN! Orange stuff done ate my coolant tank cap! (I jury rigged that, only $5)

While moving to my lovely home-------I smell coolant! OH NO! Popped a hose! Aint nothing a pocket knife wont fix......

After moving to my lovely new home this summer, I smell gas- WTF? OH Lordy, the fuel injectors are clogged! $70 more!

Hmm, That can't be all is it? Uh OH! Seems the orange stuff has clogged my radiator up! It can't cool properly on a hot day! A new radiator is $200 plus Labor. Right........

Wait-------- Its acting a fool again! Guess what! The hose is cracked! It can burn in hades before I sink another dime into it.
Thanks General Maintenance! I love you!

We won't mention the $4,000 we have sunk into the bronco since last October...

Did I forget to mention the infamous $122 oil change?
Yes Virginia, I have been thrown out of an oil change place........

One fine day this January(Did I mention it was my birthday?) I decided to head off and do some birthday shopping. I thought It would be fun to get my oil done while I was out........

The moroons who changed my oil decided to play with my car! They broke OFF the hazard light button, and stuck it WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY down in the dash!

I had to take it to the GM dealer and get it fished out. $65 an hour, plus $35 to do it. Did the oil change give me a free oil change? NO Did they pick up my Gm tab? NOOOOOOOO. $122 up a cats butt.

And to boot, IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY! (Oh golly, the store manager bought me a cake and flowers!) But spending ALLL! Day in the Cold January rain GAVE ME THE FLU! ONE week I was out of commission.

Know what I was supposed to do for my birthday? Get Mexican food and go see Cold Mountain. Know when I got to do it? 2 weeks later.

That bites. I forgot about the fuel Injector problem I had with my car. It took the idiots 3 times to get it right. I kept saying "I smell gas, you didnt fix jack so fix it or i'll take it to a dealer and they'll send you the bill." he fixed it and with no charge cause it was something the moron should have done before. It was kind of funny cause he was about 40 and I was 17 telling him how it was.

If you had my supercool david allan coe mechanic- $35
but I would suspect upwards of $100 because they have to take the door apart.

Boy that Alero Siphons With Great Vaccum, April. Sounds as bad as my '95 Mark! Although, yours seems worse in the engine department, I reckon, I think I got ya covered on inconvience items... maybe...

'Course now that mine's been stolen and totaled (pending), you win, 'cause you still got the Alero, and I don't have any car.

GM v6 lemons....

Yea I am holding out for some rich old biddy to rear end me. Sad thing is its a very pretty car- its white with a silver stripe and silver and black interior. I have all the fun stuff in the world in it.......but I hate it.

I hate GM and Texaco more for refusing to admit they caused it to happen in the first place...

The kicker-
Dex Cool needs no maintenance for 150,000 miles- I am at 138,000.........and have already along with thousands of other stinkers had it bite me on the butt.

I'm telling you what I have had bad experiences with GM. My dad before he past away had a brand new Camaro Z28. It was nice. It had leather interior and it was a beast. One day coming home from Peoria the blasted thing decided to catch fire. So we took off running home. I think its a sign that I shouldn't drive GM vehicles.

Today I gotta take the blasted thing to the dealer and get it fixed. My g-mas mopar was getting fixed all last week and she had my car. She's not very car smart so I think she accidently did something. Who knows. It's raining cats and dogs so it's a good thing I put plastic over my window as I was removing all my important stuff (CD player, cds, neons, pictures, and cd changer). Once I get a Ford i'm never going back to GM.

Me = = GM

My window is getting fixed right now. Thank god. I drove 30 miles with the window down and the heat blaring.

That stinks about the Trailblazer. GM is nothing but screw ups look at the GTO. I hope it will last time summer when I can get a Mustang GT. Next til it messes up on me i'm trading it for a V6.

UPDATE:

I'm on my last nerve now. i'm twitching with anger. The whole assembly inside my door is dead. Its gonna cost me like $350 for a new one. The good thing is that my window is rolled up enough that rain or anything wont get in.

Greif. And General Misery takes no responsibility. That stinks! Have you had the orange crap bite you on the butt yet? I am going on the assumption you are running a 3400 sfi v sicks because we have the same car-----BEWAREEEEE!

I hate them! I can't wait to never see a GM again!! Actually my darling husband picked out a very sweet satin silver with dark charcoal leather and black top 2k4 mustang today. I get first drives!

Oh this is fair. Go to GMinsidenews.com and I can guarentee you can find ten other threads that are the exact opposite of this all pointing out that 'friends don't let friends drive Fords'. My grandma owns a 2003 Malibu V6 with the 3500 with no problems.
