Well, I went with the Ultimates!
They had both pairs at the mall today, and I could not let go of the Ultimates! They were just perfect So soft and comfortable and awesome looking.
Thanks for all of the comments and votes!

Nice shoes, though I'm not a fan of Asics. My personal preferences for driving shoes are Merrell Mocs, which are extremely comfortable and give exceptional heel & toe grip while driving. They usually go for $80-120, but if you're lucky, you might find a pair for under $40 at Nordstrom.

I've found my asics to be very well developed for driving... if you look at the bottom part of the heel, there is a wedge, Perfect for placing your foot at the perfect angle on the accelerator... and the grip is second to none :P
