agreed, to all my friends and family that have and are currently serving; and to those that have yet to serve, we owe you our deepest respect and thanks.

You may have served in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, or Coast Guard.

You may have been drafted or perhaps you volunteered.

You may have been active duty, reserve duty, or both.

You may have served at home while some served overseas.

You may have served during times of war or while our country was at peace.

Many of you lost friends, family, and buddies while you served. They are not forgotten.

You may have returned to the civilian world bearing physical or emotional wounds, many of which have left some permanent scars to deal with in your everyday life.

Some of you had to endure coming home from - wars…battles…conflicts…or whatever other labels our country has put on these - without the support of your fellow Americans.

Some of you were ridiculed…laughed at…spat at…and beared the brunt of vulgar remarks.

Some of you even removed your uniforms so as to become “invisible” and avoid some of the negativism.

One thing is for sure – all of you reentered the civilian life changed…different.

Some of you may have struggled (or continue to struggle) with reconnecting and “fitting in” with the rest of society, affecting your families and jobs.

No matter what, there remained in each of you, a sense of pride and patriotism, even though it may be difficult to display these publicly to others even today.

You are all brave, strong, and courageous. To me, you are all heroes, even though I know that this is a word that you would not use to define yourselves.

So, on November 11th, at 11 AM, I remember each of you (and your families) in prayer thanking our Heavenly Father for each of you and what you did for our country. I know that our country is in trouble right now, but it is because of each of you that our country will survive and pull through once again. Some days I don’t know how, but I know that we will pull through.

Please know that I am proud of each and every one of you. Thank you for your service. God Bless the United States of America.

A sincere thank you to all veterans for their service to our country, while they were in uniform and in the intervening years as well.
