Usually it doesn't bother me when a celebrity dies, but this one hit me hard. Poor guy killed himself because of his depression.
It shows you how the world really is when the worlds funniest man commits suicide.
RIP Robin Williams, you're missed already.

Just saw this on the news. Very sad. News is saying an apparent suicide. I really enjoyed him as an entertainer. He will be missed. RIP Robin.

A Man Just Needs Some....
More than Paul Walker?sheesh. C'mon he didn't mean that much at this point. I have been missing him for a long time. Since Mork from Ork. Washed up career but he was fantastic for many years. Battles with depression. Blah blah blah. It's a true shame that he couldn't handle his own brain but he had the world once so I don't feel that bad for him. Should have just stayed on cocaine.

He was a terrific dramatic actor. He was so phenomenal and convincingly creepy in One Hour Photo that I could never watch it a second time.
I talked to him once on the phone in late '79 or early '80 (long story), and met him at a San Francisco Comedy Club reunion for the Other Cafe a few years ago.
His demons won.

Why not? All of my favorite musicians are dead but I still listen to their music. At least Robin made it to his sixties. They just don't build men like they used to.

I'm not being a *****. The man was greatness. No surprise that a 60+ yr old coke head mental case killed himself is all. I'm sad that it came to this too but I ain't crying over it. There's true heroes that die and get killed every single day fighting for our freedom so some movie star can be an idol. Suck it up and just say he will be missed because we know how he went out.

Chris Farley, John candy...robin Williams...much pain lies behind the smiles.
No money or fame can ever satisfy the hunger to be truly happy.
