Ok, firstly, I don't care if you are third party or you don't vote.

If you are one of those people, then start your own thread. I just want to know how many republicans and how many democrats we have here.

Also, just because vote republican doesn't mean you necessarily voted for Bush...

The parties are quite different than they once were, so aligning yourself to the party means different things to different people, especially people of different ages.

FWIW, I agree with most republican values, and I voted for Bush in the last election, though not in the first one, in which I voted third party.

I'm not about flaming, so can we keep it civil?

George, you're always making new friends.

Regarding this topic though, but the future doesn't look good. Political discussions never end nicely.

Wouldn't it have at least been nice to know how many of us are registered independant and/or some other party? I happen to vote for the best canidate, regardless of affiliation.

Voting party lines can't be a good idea.

EDIT: All of that to say, I'm just peeved because I can't vote.

Shea,

In light of Doris' comment I added "independent" to the poll, hope you don't mind

Having some fun, posting the harmless Dom DeLouise funny picture with no profanity, no nudity, showing the finger is unacceptable? While an abbreviated "GFY" is commonly allowed? PLEASE!

I fail to see the logic. Unless favortism or partisan politics is the common denominator.

Well, considering the three pics denigrating guys who are not republicans, I'd had to agree. But hey, no need to photoshop anything:

Starting a topic like this is like posting a "FLAMEWAR HERE" sign. Bad idea.

If anyone REALLY wants to get into the realities, it is not a pretty picture.

Topics dealing with politics are usually about flames, rarely about context since most know little of history, policies, geography, or for that matter, the names of those who represent our interests, and usually started by some dummy liberal who wants to hear himself talk. Eventually, it boils down to posting news clips and quotes from dumbacces who make a living by creating a following of sheep and parrots.

This topic is no exception. It is meant to create sides, segregate, and start a conflicting dialogue with a very predictable conclusion. And so, since I am such a crowd pleaser, I contibute by giving exactly what they are looking for.
