Yesterday stinked! It started when I was having trouble eating, and actually tasting my food. Then I was unable to close my right eye. That totally freaked me out and I left work to go to the emergency room. There I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy So the right side of my face is out of comission for atleast some days, maybe weeks, or even months

Anyone have this problem before?

What'd you do to cause trauma to the nerve?

I can still drive my car, but shifting gears and manually blinking my eye steering with the left can be tricky. The convertible,, with the top down is out of the question since I canot blink my right eye and I could cause some serious damage to my eye.

It seems its a viral infection that creates a sore, on the inside of the skull, right next to a nerve. The sore pinches the nerve and there goes the feeling and muscle control on that side of the face.

The freeky part was yesterday, when the symptoms suggested it could be a stroke, MS, or Bell's Palsy

Thanks for the encouraging words guys

I don't know if I had it as severe as you, but I had something similar to that and my chiropractor said it was Bells Palsy. He cracked my neck a few times and it went away. I'm not saying that yours might go away like that because everyone is different but it might be worth a shot. Hope it all works out for you.

How about if a knockout brunette crosses your path, can you still blink with the left eye? Inquiring minds want to know.
