several years ago as i was leaving a local grocery store a person who knew me motioned me over to where a lady was having trouble starting her car .. the person stated that i was once a mechanic and perhaps could help with this issue ,,i had heard them trying to start the vehicle and recognized the clicking sound of a bad battery connection so i casually walked over and put both hands on the positive and negative battery terminals and felt that the negative was warm from a loose connection ,, i inconspicuously ( spell that off the top of your head ) twisted the ground cable to tighten it up a bit and at the same time said " HEALED " and shut the hood .. i walked away and heard the car fire up but i was on my way by then .. anywho another similar situation occurred recently as my neighbor could not get her riding mower to start .. she called me .. i pulled the little lever on the back to put it out of gear and pushed it up to my shop and cleaned the carb bowl and got it going .. i pushed it back to her garage and forgot about it .. a couple of days later she calls me saying her mower runs now but it will not move in any gear .. i say i will be there in a minute .. as i walk up to it i remember that i had not pushed the gear engage lever back in so as i was looking at it i took my foot and pushed the lever in and put my hands on the steering wheel and again said " HEALED " and just walked away ,, whether you baffle them with brilliance or befuddle them with bullcrap leave them wondering ...

proud of myself i am .. i have always been interested in the civil war .. in the early 70`s i subscribed to the magazine the civil war times .. even went to a couple of battle fields .. went to Shiloh in 74 .. went to Chattanooga in 75 .. not knowing that 40 years later i would find out the significance of my desire to go there .. Bought a volume of collector edition books on the subject which i later donated to the local library ..i guess in my brief married life i lost interest in the matter then in 1990 or so the Ken Burns series about the civil war came out and reignited my interest .. subsequently i joined a couple of newly formed charitable organizations dedicated to purchasing and preserving civil war battlefields .. soon after those two separate entities joined forces to become The Civil War Trust .. i v`e been getting Quarterly news letters for 30 years and once in a while my name would be in the section about those who give a little extra .. recently they informed me that my name and several others will be going on a monument in Washington DC dedicated to the " steadfast " members as i am known ..i am even invited to the dedication yet i will not go .. but anyhow more about Shiloh and Chattanooga .. when i finally got some information on my family trees it turns out that my great grandfather on my moms side spent a portion of the war in a northern prison camp in Chattanooga .. after the war he moved to Texas and died of a rattlesnake bite .. when i found out some of the family history on my fathers side i learned that many many related moons had fought in that war and several were killed at Shiloh .. there is a cemetery not very far from me that bears my family name and several tombstones of cousins that died at Shiloh in 1862 .. a while back the Civil War Trust expanded to include the revolutionary war and the war of 1812 and became the American Battlefield Trust .. ..turns out i have more family members in those wars than i can count .. and on both sides

a friend of mine went there about 20 years ago .. she knew i was a civil war nut and she brought me a hand full of dirt from there .. ( not legal to do i mite add ) .. i have a few bullets and coins from the era that i keep mixed in with the dirt .. brings an intense feeling of awe every time i get them out and know that someone from that time had these items .

HOSS429 5/30/20 01:45 PM

wonderful and successful launch today .. very proud i am .. i had a part in every space shuttle that flew ..i had no part in this one though

i need a hair cut badly .. quite wooley i am .. i walk up to my hair cutting place and the first thing i notice is a big sign that reads " we will not cut your hair unless you are wearing a mask " .. my usual hair cut includes a beard trim .. a beard i have had for 45 years .. how do you trim a beard while i am wearing a face mask ?...if they have masks on then they are protected from me .. i dont worry about being protected from them ...

Mustang Freak 6/2/20 04:58 PM

Cut your own hair problem solved! I've been doing it for years now. :yup:
