Question for camera experts

I have a hand me down Olympus SP 500UZ digital camera with no owners manual or other info.

I'd like to get a polarizing filter mainly for more dramatic sky shots. The lens says it's 63mm, but all I can find on-line are 62mm or 67mm filters.

Is there some kind of adapter? What am I missing here (besides 1mm) ?

Thanks

Tom

That's probably referring to the focal length of the lens, not the size needed for filters.

On cameras like that, it is typical to have to buy a lens adapter that will give it a common thread pitch/size, as there are no threads on the lens, or if there are, they are non standard.

From what I can find on your model camera, you need a CLA-4 Lens Adapter tube. It will allow you to us a 55mm filter.

I'm currently trying to find one for you, as they are unavailable in most places.

Edit: Looks like your best bet is going to be eBay, unless you wan to call and confirm that the following people have it in stock.

Camerachums

This is basically what it looks like.
