well i get a call on monday morning around 10:45-11 o'clock and its my mom telling me that my bestfriend (Richie Loyd) has been taken to the local childrens hospitle because he is really sick. (i knew he had been sick because i went over to his house on friday) but my mom goes on to tell me that his heart stopped for about 5 minutes and that they had to do CPR to get him back. by this time i am goin into shock and i totally blank everything else out of my mind. i call around and the leader of my sunday school class asks if i would like a ride up there (dad was out of town and my mom was at work) so i say yes and i get there at about 3:45 and i walk in to the family waiting room and i can just see his mom is a mess and his dad is crying (first time in my life i have EVER seen him cry) but fast-forwarding to around 5 the doctor walks in and says "your son isnt doing well at all, he has about a 90% chance of dieing if we dont put him on life support and if we do he has a 50-50 chance so they say yes to the life support. so fast-forwarding again its about 9 and they come in and say that he is doing a little bit better so people's hopes go up a little. so now its around 12:30 on tuesday morning and the doctor comes in again and says that he isnt reacting to the medicine anymore and that they did a test and his brain is accualy dieing. so they give his parents about 10 mins. and they come back in again and say that there are 2 options. 1-keep him on life support and see how things are in the morning or 2- take him off and let nature take its course they also add if he does survive that he will never be the same. so the parents take him off and that was the first time i saw him......words cant desribe how he looked..... anyways he past away tuesday morning at 1:39...........please pray for his family and friends......truly this is the hardest thing i have ever had to go through in my life! it almost doesnt seem real because just on friday he was sick but he wasnt sick enough to even think about death.....so please pray for his pamily and friends.

Im sorry to hear about theat man and i know how it is. A good friend of mine died a little over a year ago so i know how tough it is, but just try to let people help you through it even though it may seem like it isnt helping. Its a long road and the memory will be with you the rest of your life, but youll make it through. Good luck buddy.

Hey man, things may seem real tough right now, but always remember, it will get better. Rough stuff like this happens, and you may not always believe it because of things like this, but there is a greater power thats watchin out for you. I was saddened to see that you are 13. It is pretty rough to have stuff like that happen when you're just entering the world as a mature thinking dude. My great-grandma just recently passed away and she was pretty close. It was hard for me to watch how my younger cousins reacted to it.

i just wanted to say again thank you for the prayers and everything. his showing was on friday and early sat. then the accually funeral was later on sat. people have looked to me as kinda a role model because i didnt cry as much as some people but i kno i couldnt of kept stong with out prayer. i went back to school today and the people that knew him at my school were very supportive. thanks again!
