We had next to nothing compared to towns and counties just 50 miles east of us here in western NC but we had no power, no cell, no nothing for several days. It all came back last night. We were wondering how long it would be out with the massive destruction so close to us. We have been through so many of those small mountain towns during our drives. It's all so sad....We thought we escaped all that hurricane stuff when we moved away from FL 22 years ago. I guess not.

I can hardly imagine what is going on down there right now, while I sit here all comfy at my keyboard like nothing happened
