I just had a chance to read this whole thread and wow...I almost had to stop reading halfway through the first post Nate. I'm so sorry you've had to go through this. It sounds like he's doing a lot better, but everyone needs to keep praying for a miracle. I'll be sure to keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated with good news!

Everything does happen for a reason, one day I think you'll find out why you went through this now. Like I said, best of luck Nate. Everyone is behind you.

Like everyone else here, I am thinking of your son and your family. I hope you can feel all of the warm thoughts and wishes of your Mustang family. Your son has touched us all. Such a strong fighter in such a tiny package. Please tell your wife that we are all thinking of your family and praying for each of you.

 

guys, i have some really bad news. logan passed away yesterday. he had massive damage to his brain to the extent that he was seizuring badly and would have to have made a miraculous recovery to even be considered for a transplant. we had to make a choice between allowing him to struggle and be severely handicapped, or allow him to pass away now and be with god. all of the odds were stacked against him. my wife and I decided the only and best option was to allow him to pass, we didnt want him to have to go through a life of pain and suffering. had he recovered partially and not been able to take a transplant, we would have to let him go then. that was our greatest fear. my wife and I are very content in knowing that he is with god now and no longer has to deal with what lies ahead.

thank you all so much for your prayers and comfort during this time. it really has helped a lot to know you all care so much. i feel ok right now. it may take a while for things to be normal again for me and my wife. thank you all so much.

Jeesh, my heart sunk when I read that post. I am so very sorry, I can not imagine having to make that decision. Try to find comfort knowing that your son will no longer be suffering. My sincerest condolences to you, your wife, and your family.
