It's basically a chicken fried steak. Real thin with a crispy batter. The toppings vary by region. Could be a cream sauce or even cheese.

I think other than a bratwurst and a schwartzwalder kirschtorte it's about the only edible food Germans make. Lol

Typically in Germany schnitzel is pork or chicken. Very tasty stuff, goes great with beer and with potatoes! This one is with some noodles and a brown gravy.

Nola has more restaurants than just about any other city and I don't think we have a single German one. That's gotta tell you something.
