Am I the only one that doubts this actually happened?
The Challenger was upstaged by the Camaro at the Detroit Auto Show, and I think DC fabricated this story to generate interest in the car. If this had really happened, I think the photos would be all over the place by now.

Yeah, I have my doubts about it happening too but it seems a long way to go. I'm hearing much more about the Challenger than the Camaro. Don't know what it was like at the show, but in the general public seems the Challenger is already getting more limelight.

The latest news has the woman being drugged at a nearby local bar and then snuck in with one of the workers from the Cobo center. According to the report, she was an unwilling participant and has retained a lawyer to file a potential lawsuit. No pictures though.

I think in sheer poublicity it has but only because of the leaked shots of the challenger. The enthusiasm was a tad warmed over at that point.
BTW not to stray to far off topic but i heard a rumor that if the chally goes into production it wont have a manual. If that ends up being the case I wont get one.

In the press releases about the Challenger more than once a 6-speed was mentioned. It will have a manual. The only rumors I've heard about it not came from people who did not investigate enough.
Unless you're talking about that book in the glovebox. In which case, yeah, that could be a problem.
