I really woulda though clive would have been an awesome Bond. Especially after all of the BMW short films, he can defintely be a driving actor.

Last Bond movie I really liked was License to Kill with Timothy Dalton. Since then, most of Bond movies stinked. Roger Moore was best Bond ever.

I don't agree, I like Pierce and the more American production and action even though the one movie with (can't remember her name) that girl playing the nuclear scientist was bad.

From what I read, clive turned it down but this guy was still being considered higher than Clive Owne.

Johnny, don't take this the wrong way, but most of today movies stinks. They're all about same - good guy kills bunch of bad guys and gets the girl at the end. I went to see Ring 2 last weekend ... man, that was one bad movie (Ring 1 was really good). Same with action movies. In the older Bond movie there weren't as much violence like there is in new onec. Older movies were great because you had to know how to act to get role in the movie. Today, you only have to have muscles, look good without shirt off and know how ti fight and you'll get the role (best examples are Vin Diesel and Steven Segal).

Hmmmm, I don't think the next round of movies are going to be too big a hit in the US. How many people know who that guy is? I don't. (either one of them actually)

I think it takes big names for a movie like that to work in the US. But, I can't even think of anybody right now. I just don't think the 007 series was ever the same after Brosnan(sp?).

Timothy Dalton was underrated IMHO. Didn't he do most of his own stunts?

So they got rid of Pierce because of age, yet they hire a guy who's 37 and looks nearly twice his age

I don't think the age is the reason why Brosnan won't be playing Bond anymore. Brosnan is 52 now. Roger Moore was 46 when he played Bond for the 1st time and he was 58 when he played Bond for the last time.

So Pierce may be back. That'd be fine with me.

And the one with Denise Richards is The World is Not Enough, which I thought was pretty good. But *she* was not, sad to say...
