Be sure to google something like "american idol process" and read up on what to expect. The audition process is nothing like what you see on the show.

 

There was a girl in one of my classes this past spring who had tried out before and said it was a really long process with tons of auditions.

 

You better keep us updated.

 

good lord think if tons auditions the hotel bills etc involved yikes !

Pffft. Like Nathan is going to look at a girl long enough to snap a pic, and God forbid she think he likes her.

 

I can't even remember who it was. It was on the first day of class and people were moving around a lot.

 

this is how i figure it. Lets look at it like a lottery. Imagine 12,000 people show up, and they let 250 actually audition in front of the judges. If they picked us at random, that gives me a 1 in 48 chance. I don't think thats too bad!

 

Please don't wear a bikini though.

 

There was already a guy who did that this past season...on the other hand he did make it on tv.

I'm a Styx fan from the 80's and Sweet Madame Blue sounds like a tough one.

 

Make sure you tape yourself practicing and watch it over to make sure you're not doing anything stupid.

 

I've been doing that in the studio...recording my vocal and listening to the playback. in some places i really impress myself, but in other, I'm like..!! i suck!
