We are pulling permits on tuesday to remodel our house, so it looks like all plans of any kind of cars are on hold for the moment. We have a small house and need add on because we want at least one more kid. We are excited and nervous at the same time. Kinda stinks because we have to move all our furniture into the garage and move into my in-laws. Hopefully this won't take too long. Now to find a contractor...

Here is our plans that our architect drew up real quick(new walls are solid). Wish us luck.

That looks like an ambitious project. Good luck with it! Have you got a fireplace in the house? That always makes a house for me especially during the rainy Southern California winter.

No fireplacce, unfortunately...the house is too small. It would take up a whole wall.

We're just glad we're getting 3 bed 2 bath. Right now the house is 2 bed 1 bath. The laundry is in the garage, and we don't have a dining room. It's kinda hard to entertain.

**Update**

Well, we found a contractor. We are starting on Aug 10th. I am amazed at the price though. We are only adding 500 sq ft and the original price came back at 139k . We hit the floor. I was not expecting that. I guess we're gonna have to do a lot of work now (painting,fixtures,flooring...). He also said it would only take 4-5 months

Now the moving. I hate moving. I'm gonna take some pics when the house is empty. I think I've had a headache for the past month straight :bang: , that doesn't help.

BTW, I'm gonna be posting on this for a while so please bear with me. I will probably be venting a lot, also.

Feel Free to vent anytime.
I hope it all goes well for you! And smoother than they say.

It never goes smoothly. Be patient. It will be worth it in the long run.

So what do you use the master bedroom for?

Best of luck!

Well, we moved out of our house this past weekend. It's a very sad sight to see your home empty and your yard bare. So far so good with the in-laws, just no computer or PS2 set up yet. I have pictures and will post when I get my home comp working.

Construction officially starts tomorrow so some of my friends and I are going there tonight to knock down a few walls. Should be fun. I figure if my house is gonna be demo'd then I should at least get the first wack.
