Thanks for posting!!
I always liked Porsches but buying a new one was and is out of the question due to finances. Many years ago I pulled the trigger on a used air cooled 1995 993 cabriolet 6 speed. I really enjoyed it but the expense of owning it long term just was not in the cards. I did have it for 3 years but when the $1,600 service was around the corner and I heard about the a/c woes arising on the air cooled 911 models on a Porsche forum, with repairs starting around $5,000, I made the decision to part ways. It was a wonderful decision to own one and an experience I truly appreciated. Today that air cooled 911 is almost double what I paid and now out of the question. My timing was good.
Now it's back to American muscle which was always my sweet spot anyway.
Here we are on some of our western NC travels.

Say what?
Like NC14GT said, it is timing. My Gemini Blue 1973 was built by me with some help from friends for ~$26,000 which got me worried. Then quickly, the long hood early small bumper car prices went nuts. A dude tripled my money with a wire without looking at it.(off the early 911S website). Same thing for an early long hood 1969 Porsche. The 1965-1967 are short wheel base get bigger offers).
I ordered my 2022 911 after getting a dealer allocation. It came in as 2023, They never sell a new one over MSRP. It's the dealer rules..They gave me over what I paid them for my 2020 (it was the market price.). I bought a car and drove it three years for free.
We all know this will all end soon. I suspect in 2024?
