My father past away this morning.
Just wanted to share with y'all I spose. I got the call at 9 this morning, he had a heart attack and past on the way to the hospital. He was 53.
I wasn't nearly as close to him as I should've been after my parents split.. I probably hadn't talked to him in at least a month and I guess that's the thing I regret most out of this whole deal.
Anyway, make sure you hug your kids I suppose, because life doesn't always go the way you want...

It is tough losing a parent no matter the age. The emptiness which follows is a hard experience as well, the only consolation are the good memories and time. I offer my condolences.

I appreciate all the kind words and thoughts. It's been a tough week between trying to have some time to grieve and also trying to figure out all the financial and estate related things because I'm the legal next of kin and he didn't have a will yet... But anyway, we're getting through this and will have a memorial service Saturday.
I thought I'd share some photos from my childhood that have some special meaning for me.
