My dog -1, possum - 0

She was barking for a good half an hour stright until my wife made me go look to see what she was barking at. What ususally happens is, that she has a possum cornered and the **** thing won't move. Well, that was the case. The thing was sitting on top of our chain link fence. When I went out there the dog got brave. She jumped up and grabbed the thing by the tail and started to chew on it. By the time I got her off of it, it was too late. Anyways, I can't sleep so here are the pics.

Nice kill!

My dog was doing the same thing a couple of weeks ago... barking a good hour at the darn thing while it was on top of a chain link fence not moving. She's a beagle so there was no way in hell she would have reached. We had to bring her in because she would have barked the whole night.

The dog we had before her, a golden retriever, got one. We woke up one morning with a nice surprise in the backyard.

Naw, thats armadillos. The darn things have moved up here to St. Louis about two years ago, we've always had possms, coons, and ground hogs.

My hatred is squrells , try to run them down with the stang. have gotten 2 in the last few weeks . Just a small thump, and no blood on the car

I love Squirrels! I wish I had one for a pet.

Armadillos hop when you shoot em. They can also ruin a yard in a second.

Possums everywhere? I thought they were the official roadkill of alabama.

Squirrles rock
Opossums are what we used to call Space rats
They look like oversized Rats with a Skull for a head
just crazy looking things..used to see them on the road after a rain storm just walking in circles.

anyone else here ever eaten a squirrel? I shot one in the north of Scotland (very remote area, so hadn't been consuming any bad stuff), and decided to see what it tasted like.....tastes like rabbit.
