The Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas, and in the garage
There was no sign of a Chevy or Dodge
As I moved Nittos and Mickeys to reach hidden treasures
I heard a jolly voice chuckle with pleasure

“Nice horses you have”, he said as he looked
At the Fox and the Mach
He asked, “Are they fast?”
I said, “No, they’re Houston stock”
He laughed again as he said, “That’s a crock!”

I watched as he admired our rides
Laughing with glee that jiggled his sides
He asked for a chance to get behind the wheel
I gladly obliged, letting him get the feel

He started the Mach by wiggling his nose
I thought to myself, “I need one of those!”

As he listened to it rumble with that nice Vortech whine
He smiled again and said, “That sounds mighty fine!”

We drove down the street, looking for someone to roost
His eyes wide with excitement as he felt the push of the boost

As Camaro and Vette turned aside in their fear
Santa was sad he didn’t get to show them our rear

I said to him, “It’s okay, they can’t help it”
He asked what he could do to help them go fast
I told him, “They’re used to being last.”

He said he’d have the elves do something to help them
I said to him, “Give them something with the blue oval emblem!”
