Mandalorian armor! *Nerd Alert*
Yeah, I'm making Mandolorian armor. For those of you who are less versed in the realm of Star Wars, thats "Boba Fett's Armor"
I'm a member of another forum based around making these costumes, and I thought it was high time I made one. Only instead of using resin, fiberglass or sintra like most guys there, I'm using 16 GA steel
Here's a link to the buildup thread, if anyone is interested. I plan on wearing this to class, eventually. For ****s and giggles of course

With what has been going on at colleges lately, I would notify the powers that be before you wear anything like that to class.
No need to disrupt classes with a SWAT team arrest for yourself.

Thanks everyone!
Strickland- I won't be going for 501st approval, since they don't allow custom mandos (yet) And there is no way a republic commando could stand up against the likes of me
BM, you nailed it. These guys can do some amazing things. Theres a guy making a Han in Carbonite from scratch, and another who's cardboard helmet is done so professionally it looks just as good or better than most of the rest of the ones you can buy.
Karman, I wouldnt worry to much. Most of the professors are nerds :P And I'd be doing it through a new club on campus

Yeah, thats what alot of the guys use. If the steels turns out to be too heavy, I can also add snaps or even bolts welded to the insides to attach to the vest worn over the flight suit.
If theres some heavy duty velcro that works well enough, I'll stick to that, but I have a feeling I'm going to end up using the bolt method

Worf is one of my favorites, don't get me wrong, but Boba would own him. Even sans armor, Boba's resourcefulness woulda kicked in and kicked butt.
Now lets not keep this going. I just had one of these the other day, and frankly, i'm tired
