Brian had to go to Orlando quite suddenly Wednesday, and he offered us up to go with him. So we did. We left at 4 PM and rolled into Orlando around 2:30 AM Eastern. We got to stay in a Kick *s Hotel- The Wyndham Resort on I- Drive. WOW!(poolside bar, Poolside ice cream parlor, wonderful beds). Yes, we took Both Ralph and Ellie(sadly, Ellie rolled off Warranty on this trip).

Thursday me and the kiddies got up around 9(Brian had to go to the office and work) and off to IOA it was. First stop- Incredible Hulk! http://www.universalorlando.com/ioa_attr_hulk.html

We spent time riding the carosuesell,one fish two fish and then we did all of this all over again before we left for the day to rest for the next day- Universal Studios.
We were so tired, I didn't even stop for a margaritaville Margarita. In bed by 9Pm tired!

 

So Friday morning we got up and off to Universal we went:

Jurassic Park the Ride

 

When we first started going after the kids graduated from bore-me-world(I despise Disney) in 2003- The boy was TERRIFIED of the mummy and Jurassic park. He has now been desensitized. HE used to cry if we rode them.
Pre 2003, we went to Disney- the suckiest place on earth(why pay hundreds to be bored, and I by virtue of the tower of terror REALLY hate disney now).

 

Yea, never really a fan of Disney either

 

I want to go ride Kraken. BUT I hate Seaworld. Dilemma.

Craziest sight:
A swing that raised you up to the level of the bungee seats(too high) and swung you around. No thank you.

Here is what sucks in the park:
$3 per coke.
$8 per cheeseburger and fries.
Free water.
$10 parking per day.
They nickel and dime you to death there. And every ride dumps you out in a gift shop

They opened up a bubba Gumps in City Walk. If I wasn't so in love with Margaritavilles cheeseburgers in paradise(lettuce and tomato, heinz 57 and french fried potatoes ) I would totally go. They also have NBA city(ew), Hard Rock(gross food),Nascar Cafe, Bob Marleys, and Emerils($40 per person, no thanks).

Next year we are going to Fright Nights. We have somehow quit going to Gatorland, but then again, we have cut our trips to 2 days instead of our old 4-5 days.

I couldn't imagine going in high season, some of those empty que lines scared me just looking at them- acres of line. I would die! Summertime in Orlando, Christmas in Orlando- gives me hives thinking about it.

 

October is the ONLY time to go IMO.

I loved the Back to the Future Ride.

 

This is only 1/4 of the hulk ride. They make you think its small, but the rest is hidden; I love hulk!
