Anglican (Episcopalian) here, or as my buddy whose wife is an ordained Episcopal priest says, Catholic lite.

As in years past I was going to give up drinking which I had done successfully during during Lent, but this year the spirit was willing but the flesh was weak. Maybe tomorrow...

...didnt know there were too many Anglicans in CA. I thought they stayed in Virginia....Well....I'm Brethren, and Lent is more of a "traditional" thing to us....its encouraged I think, but not manditory. As for me...didnt remember it was here yet...

i think lent is when u make sacrifices for forty days for something or another... not sure why i just know that it happens

and pete, i think you need to work on staying true to what u say

which reminds me... how many of those new year resolutions are still goin? lol

no trust around here *sigh*

and yeah, what arin said is right, lent is a religious "season" before easter, in which most people give up something for fourty days, if youve read part of the bible, it is supposed to represent the fourty days jesus spent in the desert to avoid temptations.

i dunno, i think i give up on lent this year...
