Leftie or Rightie?

An interesting dinner conversation got me interested. Aside from my Dad an an aunt, I really don't know any left handed people.

Soooooo Who is a leftie here and who is a rightie?

I am of course left handed. Did you really expect me to be the same as everyone else?

I WAS left handed before 1st grade... then I switched out of nowhere and my brain decided to go right handed.
I can do a lot with my left hand that most right handers cant do so proficiently though... but I still consider myself a right hander

I'm a leftie on most things (write, drink, eat, shoot), but I throw right handed and kick right footed.

For the record, I write like a normal person, not like a typical leftie. I don't know how you write with the paper sideways. The only thing I do not use is a 3 ring binder, OW!

Left handed people are supposed to be more creative too.

Most left-handers draw figures facing to the right
There is a high tendency in twins for one to be left-handed
Stuttering and dyslexia occur more often in left-handers (particularly if they are forced to change their writing hand as a child, like King of England George VI).
Left-handers adjust more readily to seeing underwater.
Left-handers excel particularly in tennis, baseball, swimming and fencing
Left-handers usually reach puberty 4 to 5 months after right-handers
4 of the 5 original designers of the Macintosh computer were left-handed
1 in 4 Apollo astronauts were left-handed - 250% more than the normal level.

I am ambidextrous, like most good piano players.
Although I don't usually write with my left,I still feel cannot vote.

CRAP!!!
I used to stutter like there was no tommorow! (I stutter a bit now, but very rarely). This is probably why, although I wasnt forced to switch, it just happened.

I'm a fellow ambi too and I feel that this poll is discrimination!

I can do pretty much anything with both hands. I started out as lefty, was forced to write with my right hand, then slowly morphed back into a lefty except I retained all my righty skills.

Maybe the old heads can verify/dispell this:

I've heard that most lefties back in the day were forced to change to righties by schools that taught all children to write with their right hand....

Any truth to this?

Absolutely. My Dad is a leftie, and My moms sist(runs in my family on both sides). In School they tied your left hand behind your back. Now my Dad is an Ambi.

That is true... i heard that some schools did it because being left handed was seen as something demonic or something of that nature

The absolute worst was in school with those Blasted right handed desks.

I just use my scissors and can opener upside down.

I had heard left handers are that way because they had a mirror twin who didn't make it to birth. Some twins are mirrors- one left one right etc. Glad I wasn't a twin, I love love love being an only child.

My Consolations: I keep my mouse on the left side of the keyboard, I use a left handed bass(when I use it), Use the can opener upside down.....

I had a samsung cell- most right handed people put their phone to their left ear, because my cell had the opening to talk made out like that when I used it no one could hear me. I had to get a motorola cell with the talk hole in the center. Sad thing is I don't even need a cell.

Lets see, I kick left handed, Throw left handed and write left handed I use my left eye to aim, And I freaking despise binders.

Believe me, so are we!

I am left handed for writing and throwing, just about everything else I do, I do right handed. (oh, my watch is on my right wrist as well)
