I bought a test Koi for my water thingie outside today. If it works out, I got me a koi pond.

Anyone know wtf I do about keeping it alive and happy?
I bought some feeder fish and they dropped like flies, the koi went into the rock cave and said screw this.......

Advice?

How long has your pond been setup?? I am guessing the water parameters are not yet at a safe level. Defintely look into a test kit. I dont know much about ponds at all but I would look around online for any groups or communities that can answer your questions. I had found a great one for reef aquariums on yahoo groups.

Those ponds make excellent breeding ground for zombie mosquitos.

Anyhow:
I bought one of these for $4 at Fish Death world(aka walmart) whilst I was buying pencil sharpeners for my kids:

Not ready to graduate to actual Koi yet.
