Sorry to hear that too, I got the same news December 6, but atleast they gave me till the end of the month and a decent severance package, but being in the housing industry, i have a feeling im not finding a job any time soon. not to steal your thread but is any one hiring in Atlana.

I feel ya man. My job ends 12/29. What industry you in? I work as a Windows System Admin in Dallas, so hopefully won't take to long to find something. Good luck and try to still have a happy holiday season.

Sorry to hear TN. I know my company over the course of the last year has laid off prob 50% of the staff we had. Its a crappy thing to do, especially at the holidays. You'll find something though.

I was made redundant this time last year, but managed to find another job in January, so I wish you all the best.

No time is good to lose your job, but it especially sucks at Christmas

I'm in the aerospace/aircraft industry and I can tell you it's in the pits. I'm hoping to ride out the wave until mid 2010... then .

I would try www.coroflot.com for anything in graphic or product design. Be sure to have a good portfolio together before contacting anyone.

You may also want to send a sample book of before and after work to the art directors of all the major car mags, as well as Brenda Priddy and Assoc. They are always doing speculation work of new cars over spy shots, which is where you seem to have some talent. May be freelance, but its still $$$$

Sorry to hear about the lay off. It sucks, I know......I was laid off twice this year from two different places. But I started a new job Dec 1st (luckily) and they even gave me a little xmas bonus today Hopefully you will get lucky too!

Someone did that for me once I landed a Gov't job playing with explosives, so I have found that my wierd method sometime has it's way , who know but this is the wrong time of year for it what are they thinking
