That is freaking awesome... once he gets drunk, the action goes full speed Chan style (with the slapstick incorporated in it).
genious!

Not sure if anyone has seen it, but Kung Fu Hustle is pretty cool, it's a lot more exagerrated (this movie uses special effects), but it is still great fun action.

I havent seen They Live in forever!
It was such an outrageous movie, I started to think that it was just a movie I saw in a dream... like this one movie I think I saw that is about a man that is running away from a Semi-truck in the middle of the dessert, and you never see the driver of the truck.

Doug- Thanks for the links! Duel is the name, huh? Never knew it. Hadn't seen it since I was about 6 years old or something, but it's just one of those premises you don't forget. Along with They Live.

Kung Fu Hustle: It's like Crouching Tiger mixed with Looney Tunes... highly reccomend it if you like laughs along with your high flying punches

Thanks for the link Lalo I'm definitly checking this one out! Looks like a blast! Now All I'd need is some Godzilla movies and my rainy weekend viewing would be complete

jackie chan is the man, and Legend of the Drunken Master is on of the best older jackie chan films.

Jackie Chan fans need to check out an older movie he did called Thunderbolt, his best imo and i'm not a huge Jackie fan.

Kung Fu Hustle was about as bad as Kung Pow, very stupid. I wouldn't recommend anyone waste thier time with it. Being a martial arts fan I tend to like the more realistic films, so I'm picky anyways. Fantasy stuff like Crouching Tiger is tolerable but that Hustle crap is just ridiculous imo. Instead, watch a recent movie called Dragon Tiger Gate with Donnie Yen, your time will have been better spent!

Oh Jason, Jason... you just don't get the genious of Kung Fu Hustle. What does it being the Best Movie of 2004 by the Hong Kong Movie Awards tell ya?

Seriously though, how can you compare Kung Fu Hustle to Kung Pow? Kung Pow was just horrible and not funny. Pow had horrible fight scenes and the jokes were lame, while Hustle was hilarious imo and the fight scenes are amazing.

Oh boy lol...1st of all the only comparison I made to Kung Pow was that they are both bad IMO, Pow was just the 1st bad movie that popped in my head. I know they are nothing alike 'filmaking-wise'.

I just thought the cartoonish effects of Hustle were ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, the actors were great and Yuen Wo Ping is an amazing choreographer, I love his work but I just wasn't into the 'far-out' effects of Hustle.
